Clyde Bissell
Anchorman
He is the main anchorman for the Channel 8 News. He trained as a
reporter with the Zorg Gazette on his home planet of Patellae Six,
after graduating with honors from the Geoffrey Hewlett university. From
here he became a reporter with the Channel 3 News, winning numerous
awards for his story on the endangered earth species, the Pigeon. He
became co-anchor on the Channel 2 News but sensationally quit after two
months because of payment issues. Channel 8 took their chance and the
rest is history. He is a pillar of the channel and a favorite with
housewives across the universe.

Daphne
Phi
Co-Anchor
She graduated from Hilldale University with a top mark in investigative
journalism and leapt straight into the driving seat with a job at the
Channel 11 news. Following a tragic parachute accident she was able to
fill the empty co-anchor seat at Channel 5 and soon became a household
name. Channel 8 approached her last year with an opportunity to become
co-anchor to Clyde Bissel and she accepted - much to the annoyance of
Clyde who sees her as a serious threat to his career.

Coogan Mildew
Sports Presenter
This human male is in control of the sports desk - he lives and
breathes for sports of any description and is happy to cover any
intergalactic sport, no matter how obscure. He used to be a
professional Laser Ball champion but retired early through injury and a
drink problem. He is a bit of a drunk, sips whiskey on-set and
practically lives in the bar.

Major Raz-K'Tan
Weather Presenter
Born on the planet Pax, he is a decorated military figure and
responsible for crushing the empire of Slaarg. For some, god-known,
reason he now presents the weather in his blunt, inimitable style. He
doesn't take fools lightly and will vaporise anyone who gets his coffee
order wrong. He still wears the military uniform, much to the annoyance
of the Channel 8 producers.

Brooklyn Templeton
Lead Reporter
Brooklyn is one of the roving reporters, covering stories from around
the universe and coming into all sorts of trouble. He came to fame when
presenting the Channel 18 show - When Big Creatures Attack - getting
into dangerous situations and putting himself at risk. Channel 2 News
employed him as their main reporter but he quit when payment issues
arose. Channel 8 took him on a trial period, unsure about his style,
but the audience loved him and he has become a firm favorite. He is
notorious for having lost more camera and soundmen through alien
accidents than anyone else.

Connie
Futz
Reporter
She is the second roving reporter - a sexy alien woman with a strong
male fan base. She graduated a couple of years ago and went straight to
Channel 8 as a receptionist. When a lone gunman stormed the building
she quickly grabbed a camera and covered the whole story - making her
an instant hit with the producers. Connie covers a variety of stories
but if they involve her clothes getting wet, muddy or removed then the
ratings go up. She is humanoid apart from she has no nose or ears, but
this doesn't seem to bother her fans!

Evelyn F. Murray
Producer
A well-known name in the broadcasting networks, Evlyn has been
producing news programmes for the last forty years without any hitches.
He was ready to retire when Channel 8 approached him and parted with a
lot of cash to make sure they got him on board. His wife insisted he
take the job. He has three arms, which helps to hold one more cigarette
replacement stick. His bald patch is testament to the stress of
controlling the news output and hiring more cameramen for Brooklyn. He
is renowned for winning more awards than any other producer and has a
long standing rivalry with Channel 7 producer - Dick P. Smith.
